I am a recovering Alcoholic. I have 44 days of Sobriety today. I have been diagnosed with severe depression, trauma, and PTSD. I spent 3 days in E.R. and 7 days in psych ward for Alcohol abuse and suicidal thoughts and action. I had no Insurance and was Homeless. A Social worker at Genesis told me about Rhonda’s House. I felt totally hopeless when I left the Hospital and had a suicide plan ready if things didn’t work out. Thanks to a Loving, Caring, and understanding staff I was able to feel hope again. Thanks to the resources available at Rhonda’s House, I was able to get a bed at King House in Clinton. It’s a recovery home. I also see a therapist once a week from Bridgeview. I now attend 6 or 7 twelve step meetings a week. Today I want to Live and grab all the help I can get so I can stay Sober. Had my Stay not been what it was at Rhonda’s House I May of gone back to the rest area where I was Living in my car. And I’m quite sure you wouldn’t be reading this letter. Thank you from the heart.
