How To Breathe-A Book By Ashley Neese
“Stress is becoming a public health crisis. Millennials are currently the most stressed-out generation according to the American Psychology Association’s 2017 Stress in America snapshot. The rise in stress is accompanied by stress-related symptoms and poor health and wellness. Over the year, I’ve found that a good remedy to help our bodies and minds manage the increasing demands on our day-to-day lives is the practice joy.”
Who would have ever thought we would have to create joy in our lives? The past 4 years have affected all of us in some way, with the pandemic, economic changes and so much more. I know for me I find joy with my spirituality. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my joy in the Lord. We all have ways of cultivating joy. Laughing with friends is another way I find joy. I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine! I find myself doing the Joy Breathe when I need to unwind and give myself a good laugh. It also is a good way to stretch my body out and release built up tension. Give it a try the next time you are feeling blah…….It works! Sometimes it’s good to just laugh at nothing! ~Lisa Bartels, Administrative Assistant, PRS, WRAP Level 1 Facilitator, A.S.I.S.T
