Hi, my name is Oma and I’ve been at Rhonda’s House since April of 2020. I started out as a part time Peer Recovery Specialist and in October of 2022 I became the House Manager. Working here has given me great meaning to my life and I feel I have found my calling. Being able to share parts of my own recovery story to support others and possibly supporting them in their own recovery is a phenomenal feeling. This job has given me what I needed in my life as well.
I completed college with an Associates Degree in Administrative Office Support in 2018 and continue to take online classes to further my education to become better everyday.
I was born in Rockford, Illinois, my mother moved us to Iowa when I was 13 to care for her mother. I now live in the country outside of Dewitt, Iowa and absolutely love it. I enjoy my flower garden as well as my veggie garden. My sister and I have many cats & a goose named (lil’ girl). I’m an animal lover in many ways. At one time I loved making log cabin quilts and crocheting but I have gotten away from doing that. Living on a farm keeps me quite busy.
