Hello! My name is Katelyn and I am the new Peer Recovery Coordinator for Life Connections Peer Recovery Services. I will be training peer recovery specialist, doing community outreach, developing relationships with other peer organizations in Iowa and working on the Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative. I am very excited to be here!
Prior to working at Life Connections Peer Recovery Services, I was a Treatment Supervisor with New Choices Inc., I also worked at Robert Young as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist. My involvement was in the community support program as well as group homes.
I have two beautiful daughters (9 & 4), two puppies and my fiancé Logan at home. In my spare time I find myself enjoying family time and outdoor activities. I am living in recovery of my mental illness, and I am passionate about sharing my experience to support others and offer resources to individuals that may not know them otherwise.
