Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a Peer Recovery Specialist at the Wellness Center in Clinton, Iowa. I have been with LCPRS since February 2023, one thing I enjoy about my job is seeing the change in others as well as myself every day. Before I started working for LCPRS, I used to attend the center when it was located in Dewitt. What drew me into the center was the friendliness of the staff and the understanding they had that being in the center for me was very difficult for me at first. I worked with the staff at the center on coping skills and being able to be in the center when there were a few people. I am grateful for the support I received back then, and I am proud to be able to support others the way I was supported and to see them making their own recovery paths. I believe everyone deserves to recover and have support in their lives. When I am not at work, I enjoy time with my dog Storm or my two cats Drew and Luna. I also do a lot of different hobbies, many of which are self-taught; I also took classes when I was in high school so many years ago.
