EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT- Mariah B.

My name is Mariah B., and I am a Peer Recovery Specialist with a deep commitment to helping others find hope and healing. I hold certificates in Ethics, ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), WRAP for PTSD, Orientation to WRAP, WRAP for Addictions, and an Overview of Substance Use Disorders. I began working at Rhonda’s House on May 6, 2024, and it has truly been a life-affirming journey. I was drawn to this role because I have a passion for giving hope to those still struggling with addiction. Having walked in a similar path, I understand the power of support and connection during difficult times. Rhonda’s House gave me the opportunity to give back what was given to me in my darkest moments–compassion, understanding, and a chance at recovery.

What I love most about my job is being able to walk beside individuals as they take steps toward healing. Being a source of encouragement and knowing that my lived experience can inspire change is incredibly meaningful to me. Outside of work, I find joy in spending quality time with my family and doing fun, uplifting activities with my kids. My role as a Peer Recovery Specialist isn’t just a job–it’s a calling, and I’m grateful every day to be a part of someone’s recovery journey.
