Rhonda’s House (Coming soon)Dolor Sit Amet

House held in the palm of hands

A Peer -Run Respite House is a safe home in a residential area designed to provide respite to competent individuals needing assistance before or immediately after a crisis or hospitalization. Evidence has shown these homes to be extremely inexpensive than other programs and very effective at diverting individuals from higher, more expensive levels of care.

Rhonda Shouse is an individual who advocated for many Iowans dealing with all disabilities and not just adults but children. Rhonda died early 2017 due to health reasons, we honor Rhonda by naming our soon to be Respite House after her.

A non-emergency resource for anyone seeking support, serving our community 7 days-a-week. The Warm Line provides assistance via phone to people who need to reach out when having a hard time. We offer emotional support and information about mental health resources. Our Warm line would be staffed entirely by a diverse team of peers in recovery, all with lived experience of mental health challenges.
